About Us

Our Philosophy

Our training methods borrow a lot from Clinton Anderson’s methods. We focus a great deal on desensitization, producing horses that are level-headed in any situation. Over the years we’ve learned that if you move slowly and do plenty of ground work the horse will be more receptive and learn more quickly from the saddle.

Meet The Team

David Nelson

Bryant Nelson

Bryant has been on a horse since before he could walk; some of his earliest memories are in the saddle. Since he was the oldest of the Nelson boys he got the honor of getting to be the first one to ride the new horses, which often turned into a rodeo. Bryant prefers a horse with some personality, where's the fun if there's never any buck.

Amber Crandall

Amber is a new member to the Nelson family, but has certainly fit right in. Amber began riding horses before she could walk, and believes that time is spent best when it’s spent out at the barn. Amber has had many adventures involving horses from barrel racing, western pleasure, competitive trail rides, PBR sponsor flags and dressage, to playing Varsity Polo for Texas Tech University. Every group of rowdy cowboys, needs a cowgirl to show them how it’s done.
